To begin with, it should be noted that in administering some organization, communication is the key element that actually determines the effectiveness, efficiency, and performance of this organization in discharging its professional duties. A close look on the data indicates that such situation is especially actual in the military forces. Obviously, through communication senior officers can deliver an order or direction with an aim to subordinate properly. Moreover, it can also give success in implementing tasks for any member of the military forces to know who, when, what, and how some order should be done. Evidently, communication is able to detect quickly different problems faced by the transmission of various ideas by members of the military organizations, where complicated conditions allow every opportunity to be properly snapped up by the communication system.
Undoubtedly, if the communication practices cannot meet various requirements of the military system, it will surely affect all plans and results, and will indirectly affect potential level of success of the military forces. Therefore, without effective communication, any military organization will not grow and viable. Furthermore, it will not boost the trust of single member, and assist each other to respect each other.
Taking everything into account, it should be stated that communication practices in a military organization is a primary and mandatory thing, especially during some war actions. With the effective communication, any military operations can be planned and later implemented successfully (Mackenzie, 2010). Therefore, it is quite important to all members of any military organization to create and cultivate a serious effective communication system that can connect to each other either at the lower and top levels.
The data yielded by this study provides convincing evidence that effective communication exists when some person sends a message to the recipient, and this message is understood clearly and accurately. It is important to receive a qualitative feedback from the sender after the message. A close look on the data indicates that it is very important to see and identify various practices that lead such kind of effective communication within the military organization. Obviously, by identifying these factors, any military manager can use them as a guide in the improvement of the communication system in order to make it effective and to improve relationships within the military organization to stay healthy.
This study shows that there are more than three main practices to be studied in the aspect of effective communication. Firstly, it is communication skills (Spencer, 2009). It is important to understand if all members of the military communication system have the necessary skills in communication such as speaking, understanding, listening, writing, providing feedback, and being tolerant. The development of these skills will impact positively on organizational communication system. For instance, the instructions given by educated members of military management during the war actions are easily understood by the military officers.
It is important to mention that the source of information is also essential in establishing effective communication system within the military organization. For example, a qualified officer or a subordinate who has resources can deliver accurate and truthful information that will affect effective communication within the organization. Furthermore, it will also provide confidence and trust to communicate with other members of the organization. Thus, it is very important to implement the understanding of qualitative communication sources in communication practices.
The third very important factor of the effective communication is connected with communication channels (King, 2007). For instance, face-to-face communication and two-way communication between the subordinate and superior will foster effective communication, because subordinates are free to voice their own opinions and views. Obviously, with such communication practice that are always open and harmonious, interaction by the subordinate and senior will always exist and will increase subordinate commitment to the organization.
Taking everything into account, it should be concluded that although the military organization as a hierarchical structure is quite rigid to regulations that can potentially limit communication, this problem can be solved in the case if each individual member of either the subordinate or manager role use tolerant and effective communication during communication practices and later during his work. Without any doubts, it will certainly make the communicational system effective.
